cute, adorable and lovely What's the difference among these three words. Can you show me one or two sentences using them? Because in Chinese they all mean keai, 可爱. Thanks!

1. Cute is diminutive, used to describe someone or something small; e.g., "That is a cute little puppy." 2. Adorable is complimentary, used to describe something or someone rare, unique, and worthy of one's adoration, e.g., "I think your cute little hat is just adorable." 3. Lovely describes someone or something that has earned your affection; e.g., "He is a lovely man; always willing to help."

"Cute" and "adorable" are basically the same, although "adorable" is usually understood to mean "very, very cute." "Lovely" is more often used to describe beauty: a lovely painting, a lovely home, a lovely woman, etc. "Cute" and "lovely" are different qualities: a baby can be cute without being lovely, and a piece of music can be lovely without being cute.
