Use it to describe yourself and your interests, so that you can find people interested in the same thing as you. Most importantly, be honest. Don't put anything false. The internet is full of fakes. Personally, if I see a lie, I assume that nothing can be trusted about the person and will not have anything more to do with them. Not everyone wants to talk with everyone else, so don't expect everyone to reply. But if you look for people with similar interests, you will quickly have the group of friends that you are looking for.
