"for one sort or another" what does it mean Hi, I'm an english learner. Recently I read this sentence, " You could find the fundamentalist for one sort or another". What does the phrase" for one sort or another mean"? Is this phrase commendatory, derogatory or just neutral? Hope to get explain. Thanks a lot!

The expression is just "one sort or another". "For" isn't necessarily part of it. You could also say "a speech of one sort or another", for example. The expression means "one type/kind or another type/kind". It's neutral. In order to understand what "you could find the fundamentalist for one sort or another" means, it would be necessary to know the context though. I have never heard of this phrase and it must have been used in context. The phrase you're speaking of "of one sort or another" could mean that they are referring to any sort of thing. It's really hard to explain with no context.
