The motives are the reasons that you have to perform a specific action, whereas the motivation is what drives you to want to do a certain action.

A motive is the reason that explains an action, while motivation is the emotional of a person at a particular time. Although motive has different meaning and we would need the context the word is used in to give a more specific answer.
