A date in Spanish I think a romantic date is called a "cita" but I'm just checking to make sure. Is this correct? "Quiero llevarte a una cita" (I want to take you out on a date). How would you say... "I want to date you" in Spanish. Please bear in mind that she is Mexican (doesn't know English) so some words and phrases might vary from other countries. I'm going to hire a Spanish tutor just for this reason. :)

Hola, Craig! Saludoss, y suerte!!

You can also be very direct and just ask her if she wants to be your girlfriend and ¿Querés ser mi novia?. There´s no room for misunderstanding in that phrase ;)

You could also say: Quiero salir contigo (I want to date you)
