Hi Mohamed! It's good to be familiar with the expression as it is used quite often in certain places. I think it depends where you go though. In the North of England I rarely hear it in conversation. It is usually used if you feel extremely happy. So I would use it sparingly and only for emphasis. Other people may disagree with me but in my experience this is the case. 1) The first sentence makes sense but you would probably just say, "I've visited Sweden many times but I was on cloud 9 the last time I went." You would usually have to expand and say why you were so excited. 2) The second sentence makes sense but it sounds a bit odd saying you are often on cloud 9. You could remove the word 'often' but, honestly, I don't think the phrase fits in this context. 3) In the final sentence a better verb to use would be 'put' or 'left'. ...that put/left me on cloud 9... I hope this helps! Idioms are tricky to use because they are usually confined to certain countries or regions. With this example I think most English-speaking people would understand but I would never use it in conversation personally. Dan :)

"Cloud nine" is used for things that are more than just happy feelings. They are events beyond normal, things that make you feel as if life is so perfect at that moment. Examples When he asked me to marry him I was on cloud nine. When I was offered my dream job I was on cloud nine. I was on cloud nine when I passed my degree with first class honours. You’re not too far off in your use of the idiom ‚to be on cloud nine‘ but be careful. Use idioms only in the way they are used naturally. You can’t say ‚that made me on cloud nine‘, you have to use the expression only with the verb ‚to be.‘ I’ve not heard it used in any other way. So you can be on cloud nine, say you were on cloud nine, but that’s kind of it. I might have heard someone once say ‚that sent me into cloud nine‘. Maybe, but that sounds a bit weird to me and would be a rare use of the idiom anyway.
