Yes, however, each one has varias translations in English depending on the context. やめる (transitive verb) to quit, to stop, to give up 私たちは話すのをやめました。(We stopped talking.) 彼はタバコを/ タバコを吸うのをやめました。(He quit smoking.) とめる (transitive verb) to stop, to park, to turn off, to cut of そのレストランの前で(車を)止めてください。(Please stop (the car) in front of that restaurant.) おわる (intransitive verb) 宿題がおわりました。(literally: My home work finished. = I finished my homework.) 映画は10時に終ります。(The movie finishes at 10:00.) I hope this was helpful.

やめる、とめるは何かを中断したり、させたりする意味があります。 おわるには、中断したり、させたりする意味はなく、予定通りに終了するといった感じがあります。
