We have the official romanization of Korean. But it's thorny to perfectly express Korean pronunciations using Roman alphabet.

As above, there is an 'official' romanization of Korean writing, used for various things, but for the purpose of learning the language being reliant on it is a very bad idea. Many Korean consonants fall between the sounds of those used in English sounds, and many Korean vowels can not be expressed specifically with roman characters. The end result being that you have a tendency to pronounce everything wrong. I would recommend just learning to read Korean texts. It uses a standard alphabet that isn't much larger than English, so it's fairly easy to learn (compared to most eastern Asian writing systems, it is drastically easier). The hard part is learning to pronounce some of the characters that English doesn't have an equivelant to or doesn't has no descreptancy between other sounds. Whether you learn to read or not, you will still have to learn to pronounce things correctly. Learning to read will just make your life much easier.
