I think (2) is the best answer, because “wasting my breath” is an expression used when you keep TALKING to somebody to try to persuade them, but they won’t change their mind. Only (2) captures the meaning of TALKING. Note: I think “fed up WITH” correct, not “fed up OF.”

FYI 'Fed up with ...' is the standard collocation , but 'fed up of...' is not incorrect. It's a common variant, especially in Midlands and North of England. (It sounds fine to me)
