There is no need for me to answer this question but I can't help commenting. I love gardening and watering my plants. I don't keep flowers in my home. Usually we put flowers in a vase with water. Sometimes we have to add water to the vase to keep our flowers fresh. Most of the plants in my garden have flowers but I rarely pick them. I love watching my plants grow and flower in my garden. I plant only indigenous plants because I live in a drought stricken area. I collect rain water so that I can water the plants in my garden. :) I hope you all have a great day. I think I need to go and check if my plants have enough water. :)

The first one has a typo, but could be ok. All of the others are incorrect except the last one. You would usually say "the flowers need watering". The statement is in the continuous present. The flowers need water at the moment and will continue to need watering until they have been watered. So you need to use the gerund. However you could just say that "the flowers need water" as well.

I love this question. The best answer would be any of the following: The flowers need to be watered. (This is what you would say to someone else about the needs of the flowers -- a necessity for the flowers to survive.) The flowers want to be watered. (This is almost as though you are speaking for the flowers, expressing their desire to be watered.) You could also say, "The flowers need watering." Although this suggests that you are looking at the flowers and observing their lack of water. There are other variations: It is important to water flowers. It is important to water the flowers. Flowers need water, and that's why I water them. Flowers want water. Flowers want to be watered. Flowers need water. Flowers need to be watered. I hope this is helpful!
