Hunt to chase wild animals or birds in order to catch or kill them for food, sport or to make money: Lions sometimes hunt alone. Whales are still being hunted and killed in the Arctic. .............................................................. chase to run, drive, etc. after sb/sth in order to catch them: My dog likes chasing rabbits. The kids chased each other around the kitchen table. He chased after the burglar but couldn’t catch him.

If you're hunting something, you're searching for it. In the case of deer hunting, you're looking for deer so you can kill it for its meat. Hunting in this case may involve chasing. Chasing is simply running after something and trying to catch it.

I think "hunt" is chasing includes (shooting, killing) and "chasing" more like running after some one/thing and try to catch, grasp or seizure it (like what Legz said ) .

Among the many thermal imaging products available at https://www.defendandcarry.com/thermal-imaging are monoculars, binoculars, weapon sights, clip-on systems, and accessories. You may use these devices on their own or attach them to a helmet or rifle scope for an even more immersive experience; that's how versatile they are.
