What is the difference between fun an funny when they are adjectives. Thank you in advance.

This book is fun = you are enjoying the book, it is amusing.
This book is funny -- can have different meanings:
1. the book is humorous, it makes you laugh.
2. the book is odd, there is something strange or peculiar about it.
