Hi there! 👋 I'm Megan, an American English speaker from Minnesota in the United States. ❄️
I live in Japan and have been teaching English here for about six years.🕺I really enjoy teaching and have a Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).
I think English is a tool that can help us share our cultures with the world. 💪 Since we all have different cultures, we all use English in different ways. English can take different forms, so I'm here to help improve and strengthen your own English. 🙌
When I'm not teaching, I love to travel and try new foods. I also enjoy singing karaoke. 🎶지도 경험

I believe in the beginning of learning a new language, using your native language (L1) is a valuable tool. I encourage beginners to use your L1 until you can understand by yourself (no translator needed).

Staying motivated is important for learning a language. For kids, feeling comfortable with me is key to keeping them interested.🌸
I teach in a relaxed and supportive way, but I want you to do your best. In structured lessons, I will carefully provide corrections for your English. ✍️
In conversations, I love the natural flow of talking. Usually, I don’t correct small mistakes unless it really changes the meaning.🙆♀️I think the way our native language influences us is great. It helps to share our cultures to the world.🫶
