I have done a lot of lessons with Joey in the last 2 months. Each lesson has been a lot of fun and I have learned much thanks to him. Throughout the first couple of weeks was focused the majority on verbs and adjectives. then we worked on creating sentences. all this time he has been very patient and helped me whenever I needed assistance in the class as well as outside the class. We learned common questions as well as common slang.he is working hard to make the classes feel enjoyable and safe. I am constantly learning new things at a good pace, and now can read short stories and have the basic understanding of what is happening in it. outside of class he is sending resources that may assist me in my learning. he is also finding ones that are enjoyable.

I just completed my second tagalog class with Joey and was able to focus on grammar conjugations that I have encountered but not mastered in the past. I enjoy the grammar focus lessons so I can start putting together sentences, and find the materials / drills well organized.
