My greatest passions: reading books, writing about art and philosphy, visiting independent bookshops, watching arthouse movies, and taking care of plants.

I'm fluent in English. I lived in England from 2019 until 2023. In 2014 I lived in France as an exchange student, so I speak French, and also some Greek.
6 years' teaching experience: in the past I taught Italian to refugees in Italy, and to primary school children.지도 경험
As a teacher, I consider myself more of a 'guide' who supports students in discovering the language on their own.
I’m committed to creating a comfortable environment where students don’t feel judged for making mistakes, and my focus is mostly on engaging them in taking an active role in the learning process, rather than treating them as 'empty vessels' to fill with grammar rules.
I also aim at getting to know my students well so I understand what motivates them to learn Italian in order to create a study plan based on their interests.내 강의 및 지도 스타일
As I believe that the learning process is like the 'discovery' of a new mindset, I start the lesson with an input (text, image, audio, or song lyrics) that I use to guide my students in 'discovering' the grammar rules behind it.
This approach keeps students engaged rather than making them passive learners. They also feel that learning Italian comes naturally.
During my lessons I love sharing suggestions about Italian culture, literature, cinema, and history.내 수업 자료

My first lesson was very comfortable. Elena brought structure and materials that were inviting and lent themselves well to any level of involvement, from yes/no, to simple identification, to flexing the limits of my current ability and gently extending. I recommend her and her methods.

I just finished my trial lesson with Elena. I enjoyed every minute of it. She is smart, engaging, charming, funny, well-read (she just finished Rayuela!!!). After just a few minutes, I knew I wanted to book a second lesson with her (I have already done it). She has a Master’s degree in Philosophy which means that she can talk about pretty much any topic :-). This is ideal especially for students who, like me, want to practice conversation.
