Christian Guma

I had another fantastic conversation with Christian. Our discussion, as always, was multifaceted. We talked about the differences in healthcare between Argentina and the United States, higher education in both countries, and the role of communism in the politics of Latin America. It is always such a pleasure hearing Christian's perspective on these weighty matters!

Christian is a thoroughly engaging instructor. I always enjoy our conversations and the readings that inform them. Christian has an impressive encyclopedic knowledge of history and international relations. It is a treat listening to him talk about these fields which he obviously loves.

In today's lesson, Christian provided me with an overview of the historical basis for democracies by using well-known examples from Europe and North America. His knowledge of the field is profound; Christian spoke passionately about the subject for about 40 minutes. I look forward to future lessons to learn more about his ideas about governance and international relations. It is obvious that he is an expert. Anyone interested in improving their Spanish by engaging in these very important topics will be well served by taking lessons from Christian.

I love my conversations with Christian for their richness. He also selects interesting and compelling readings that make it easy to engage in a fruitful discussion. And as I've mentioned before, Christian has an immense knowledge base that allows him ample flexibility to switch gears effortlessly. This ensures that our conversations never become stale.

I had another excellent conversation with Christian. It's impressive how quickly he can formulate responses to complicated questions. He's a true expert in his field!
