My name is Tinatin. I was born and raised in Tbilisi, Georgia.
I studied fashion design and my biggest passion is art. My interests include art(drawing, painting, digital and fashion illustration), literature, yoga and spirituality, gardening, traveling, and learning foreign languages.
I've been teaching on itallki for over a year. Georgian is my native language but I also speak English, Russian, and a bit of Italian. My wish is to be able to talk to the language of the place that I'm visiting while traveling. I really enjoy being in nature, especially in the mountains and one of my biggest desires is not to be tied to one place or a city so that I can travel the world.지도 경험
I started teaching Georgian in mid-2022 and it took me only a week to "fall in love" with this job.
I enjoy meeting new people; I also like sharing my knowledge. So being a teacher gives me an opportunity to have both.내 강의 및 지도 스타일
If you just started learning Georgian, I will teach you the alphabet, reading, writing, and pronunciation. I will teach you basic, most frequently used words and phrases. Afterward, we can move to the conversational part and reading/listening comprehension.
If you have basic knowledge, we can have free conversations during which I will correct your mistakes, give you suggestions, and provide you with new words.
I prefer customized lessons based on the student's needs and experiences instead of having a strict structure since different people might have different preferences, experiences, desires. Therefore, I am open to any suggestions. Let's meet and discuss our own preferable lesson style내 수업 자료

Tinatin and I chatted spontaneously about my recent trip and about the Georgian diaspora in the US. Then we moved to a text describing people, studies, and professions. She ensured that there were a lot of handy phrases in the text that could be used in many contexts.

Today was a great day! A conversation about the holidays, traveling, fishing--all Georgian! I feel progress today, which was great. Part of what made it good was preparing ahead of time with a text that Tinatin gave me, which included questions to answer in Georgian. That immersive approach helps me a lot.

Today we worked through a text that had a lot of similar vocabulary configured in different ways. It was a great way to work through and practice vocabulary because once you encountered a new word, you would see it in slightly different contexts a couple more times.

In today's lesson, Tinatin provided a short simple text that she had written, which was great for reading practice. It was fun to learn about people she knows, and the text was written in a way that was both authentic and manageable for a lower level student. This type of reading practice is hard to come by in Georgian and is very much appreciated!
