Hello, my name is Dalexy Montoya Joya. I am a passionate geoscientist with a strong interest in teaching and literature. I hold a major in Geoscience and a minor in Biology from Universidad de los Andes, and I have also completed an oceanography course in the U.S. Besides my scientific career, I enjoy sustainable agriculture and have worked on permaculture and ecotourism projects in Morocco, India, and Spain. I am fluent in Spanish and English, and I am learning Chinese. In my free time, I love reading classic literature and exploring new topics through reading.지도 경험
As a teacher, I strive to create a dynamic and accessible learning environment for all my students. During my time at the University Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah in Morocco, I taught Spanish to medical students, helping them acquire essential medical terminology. This role allowed me to develop leadership skills and discover my passion for teaching. I believe in active and participatory learning, where students feel motivated and engaged. My lessons are structured yet flexible, tailored to the needs and levels of my students. I use a combination of traditional methods and modern technologies to keep the classes interesting and relevant. For example, I incorporate tools like interactive maps and data analysis software to teach complex concepts in an accessible way. I focus on constant practice and real-world application of the language, using everyday and professional situations to help students use Spanish in various contexts. I thoroughly enjoy working with Dalexy. Dalexy is incredibly patient with me as I struggle to parse through the subtleties of Spanish grammar.
