Kaoru

Kaoru-san is an excellent teacher who is fun, out-going, kind and patient. Even when I make mistakes she isn't someone who will laugh but encourages me to keep going. I feel very comfortable speaking in Japanese and most importantly making mistakes in Japanese with her. She has many fun and interesting interests and hobbies so it's easy for speak about literally everything. She makes learning Japanese really fun and I look forward to my lessons weekly. I do feel like I am improving so much, since I have started learning from her and I am so grateful for that as I have wasted years not progressing in Japanese.

Kaoru is a great teacher! I really value teachers like her. As a polyglot and language enthusiast, I consider myself to have relative high standards and expectations for teachers and tutors. Kaoru sensei meets all my expectations and sometimes goes beyond it. Also, she is always positive and full of energy, making taking classes at 6am way easier to me hahah かおる先生、ありがとうございます‼

Thank you for the trial lesson to gauge my Japanese level, for listening to me share about myself, and suggesting what I could do for a future lesson with you. I felt that I could learn from you if I take your lessons and that keeps me peace of mind knowing my Japanese can improve with your help.

What l like the most while having lessons with Kaoru Sensei is that l feel relaxed and comfortable speaking even with my very limited abilities (around N5). She really does a great job at matching the level of the conversation to what l can do with such a limited vocabulary and grammar and supports my clumsy efforts. This is exactly what l need, just practicing what l was learning so far without feeling too challenged. Until now l always felt somewhat stressed with other teachers l tried out. Now l am hopeful l can keep doing it regularly without feeling apprehensive about booking the next lesson:)

I had my first actual lesson with Kaoru-san which was at a appropriate pace for me. With Kaoru-san's assistance, I was able to practice the grammar that I used to struggle with. She made sure I had ample time to practice and corrected me when it was necessary. I am glad I am able to take her lessons and looking forward to more of them in the future with her!

Kaoru is an exemplary teacher and should be a role model for everyone sharing their skills on this platform. Her lessons are so fun that I wonder if I can ever self-study again!! Kaoru makes me feel so comfortable that I'm not nervous about my super-low Japanese level, it motivates me to try and try again because she will never bring you down, only lift you up! If you want fun, engaging, and most importantly no-pressure lessons from someone who will actually support you, Kaoru is for you. So excited to keep learning with her!
