I love teaching, and I have over 18 months experience teaching English in an online setting. I have 3 TEFL certifications, with specializations in teaching English online and teaching English to children.
I can help you improve your English in any area, including grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading and listening. I can also provide you with general conversation practice - I believe that having natural conversations with native speakers is the best way to become fluent in a language.

Advanced Certificate in Teaching English to Young Learners (TEYL) - TEFL Fullcircle - 2017This certificate, which I obtained from TEFL Fullcircle, required 40 hours of studying the principles of TEYL, including: general development and learning in children, second language learning in children, teaching the four language skills to young learners (speaking, reading, writing, and listening), and the extensive benefits of using storybooks with young learners.

Master Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) - TEFL Fullcircle - 2017To obtain this certificate, I took an online course with TEFL Fullcircle, which required me to study 160 hours worth of material, including the principles of teaching English, how to teach all ages of learners (specifically young learners), how to teach to all levels of learners, teaching grammar, vocabulary, & pronunciation, teaching all four language skills (speaking, reading, writing, listening), teaching in a classroom environment, teaching one-to-one, planning, and assessment.

2018 - 2019
English as a Second Language TeacherOver the past 18 months, I have gained invaluable experience in teaching English as a Second Language online. I have taught over 600 lessons to students of all ages and abilities, including small children, students learning English for work, students learning English to live in America, and much more. I have developed a unique method for optimal learning, which includes a mixture of conversational and structured practice, with lessons designed specifically for each student.

Teacher-Author/Store OwnerAs the owner of my own online store on Teachers Pay Teachers, I create, develop, and sell digital printable educational resources to teachers around the globe. One of my store's specializations is ESL/EFL resources and lesson plans.

Environmental Education InternWorking as an Environmental Education Intern at Lums Pond State Park, I had the opportunity to educate people of all ages and backgrounds on the beautiful nature surrounding them. I helped run a large variety of educational programs, covering topics such as animal species found in the pond, tree identification, monarch butterfly habitat/migration/conservation, kayaking tours, and much more. I helped people find their passion for the natural world around them.

Educational Department/Junior Zoo KeeperWhile pursuing my degree in Zoo Keeping Technology, I completed 700 hours of volunteering in the Education Department at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. In my role as a Junior Zoo Keeper, I spent much of my time speaking and presenting to Zoo guests, educating them about our animals. I gave talks to groups of all sizes and ages about our animals' care, their anatomy, and our Zoo's role in conservation.

VolunteerI spent three summers as a volunteer at my local library. I was a part of multiple library programs during my time there, including: Summer Reading Program, Reading Buddies (reading books with young children), and general library duties.

National Honor Society MemberWhile attending Colorado Springs Early Colleges, I was chosen to be part of our school's National Honor Society. This prestigious group was in charge of carrying out service projects in our community, such as food drives for the homeless.

WEB Leader (Where Everybody Belongs)In my final year of middle school, I was chosen to be part of a program called WEB "Where Everybody Belongs". In this program, I helped 6th graders have a smooth transition into middle school. Our WEB group (all 8th graders) spent time with the kids during their first week of school and checked in on them throughout the year. We helped them do homework, talked to them about their transition, showed them around the campus, and led them in some fun games to help them get to know each other.

Savannah is great teacher! She can find the way to everyone using a variety of methods in her arsenal. She can hear your wishes, support and inspire you. For two years she became a friend to me and my young daughter. Our skills became much better. Besides Savannah is the great psychologist that helps my daughter to become less closed. We’re happy to be her students!
