I am a certified Japanese teacher who has been teaching online since 2018. I was born and raised in Japan and spent 5 years of my childhood in South Africa and England. My passion lies in drawing out the learner's ability to learn autonomously. The purpose of my sessions is to support the curiosity and power that you originally possess. Leave it to me. Many people enjoy the process of learning Japanese itself. At the same time, the strengths of my lessons are a relaxed mood like talking with friends, and teaching Japanese pitch accents! Japanese sounds like a native speaker just by making the accent correct. I can teach you the accent properly. Please read the feedbacks from my students to feel their excitement. I believe that you will be able to discover the joy of communication, expressing yourself vividly, through our session times.

I think that whether you notice it or not, there's a lot of information exchanging between us in the sessions include something beyond words too, and I feel like this is a place where study jumping into another layer. Recently, there are many learners who want the recording of the session, especially in conversation practice. The recording is a good tool to listen to your Japanese objectively. Also, you can review our session repeatedly ♡ Please enjoy various discoveries. Anri is an engaging conversation partner and a very knowledgeable teacher. We keep our conversations loosely structured, often prompted by something that we did, saw, or read in our personal lives. This format lets us ask questions that introduce me to new vocabulary and information about Japanese culture in every lesson. Anri lets me stop and ask about unfamiliar words or grammar. She often catches and corrects mistakes I make in grammar, pitch accent pronunciation, and natural-sounding speech. She also records our conversations so that I can review it. I have felt my comprehension and confidence in spoken Japanese and my knowledge of Japan gradually increase through Anri's lessons.

Thank you Anri sensei for another great lesson today! We’ve had countless interesting classes and today, sensei had some innovative idea that by watching a video together, she simultaneously went through some useful phrases that I was never aware of by watching dramas or Japanese TV shows. It’s a great method that I would recommend to everyone who is keen to improve their daily usage of Japanese phrases. あんり先生、今日もありがとうございました。先生の授業はいつも面白いですが今日のレッスンは一緒にビデオを見ながらいろんな日本語の言葉を教えていただきました。日常にも使えるし、斬新的な方法を皆さんにおすすめします。
