Lina and I have been doing lessons every week for over a year now and I have grown so much from every moment with her! She is extremely disciplined and attentive to detail while also having an easygoing personality where you can feel comfortable making mistakes and challenging yourself in ways you might’ve never expected. It’s rare to find all of these qualities in a single teacher, especially when the classroom is 100% online. I like Lina so much that I almost don’t want to leave this review out of fear that all her lesson slots will be taken up! ;)

My trial session with Lina was so great! She made the lesson fun and enjoyable and already started teaching me a handful of new words in just the trial session! I was able to say in English what I didn't know how to say in Mandarin and she would translate it back to Mandarin for me. She would also point out when I made errors so I could correct myself in the moment. Really great session!

I can’t say enough good things about Lina. She goes above and beyond to give pointers and helpful feedback on your Chinese. She’s also very kind, patient, and fun to talk to. How often do you get to learn about both Chinese AND Turkish culture? Time always flies during our conversations—I’m sure it will for you to!
