My name is Nguyen The Vu and I was born in Vietnam and I have been living in Vietnam all my life. Now I live in Vung Tau city, a beach city near Ho Chi Minh city, South Vietnam. I love languages and I have been working as an online Vietnamese teacher for more than ten years. Teaching language is my happiest activity as I can meet people around the world and share with them my knowledge about Vietnamese language, culture and history. Many of students have come to Vietnam and met me, traveled around Vietnam with me and spoken Vietnamese language with me. We are not only teachers and students, we are also best friends in life for travelling and sharing knowledge together. I love to be with you.지도 경험
You know, I feel so grateful to all of my students, who have helped me become a better and better teacher through all the time. Although before teaching Vietnamese online, I had been an English teacher in Vietnam for almost ten years. But teaching online has been a very different experience and we need to have time to get used to it. Thanks to italki, which has taken teachers and students around the world together, many students around the world have come to me and they have given to me so much advice and comment about teaching Vietnamese online and what students need, how to carry out best lessons to suit with different people around the world. I believe that the best ways for students to learn Vietnamese are practical classes into the Vietnamese language right away. This means that all the lessons will give students knowledge which they can use for speaking and making conversation in the real life right away. To carry out the lessons, I have prepared all the ready-made lessons with texts, explanations and videos which I have interviewed people on the road in the real life. I always give all the books, videos, texts freely to all students so that they can understand deeply my plan and ideas of teaching Vietnamese to all the students. That is why all students can catch up, understand and enjoy all the lesson in the most helpful way.내 수업 자료

English teacherI started instructing English to the children when I was 17 years old and I really loved languages. Before the internet developed and connected the world, I had worked as a classroom English teacher in the schools. When internet has developed in the world and since the years of 2000s, internet has developed greatly in Vietnam, I have been familiar with working online as a Vietnamese- English, English- Vietnamese translator. Then I have been an online teacher for Vietnamese language up to now.

Vietnamese language teacherI have been working as a Vietnamese online teacher through Skype and Google drive, emails since 2011 up to now and I have been very happy with teaching Vietnamese for people around the world online! Teaching Vietnamese language to people from the world and sharing my knowledge about Vietnamese history, culture and language are the most happy activities for me. Many of my students have come to Vietnam and we have been travelling around together, speaking Vietnamese language and enjoying Vietnam.

Vu is ABSOLUTELY going above and beyond. The lesson was on camera outside in Da Lat Square. We identified and discussed what we saw live as he took the camera around the area. Never had a more immersive lesson than this!

I have had a fine acquaintance with my Vietnamese teacher, Vu, for 7 years now. My level of the VN language is probably intermediate. I have had consistent weekly language lessons with him during this time. Teacher Vu is very creative and develops very interesting and attracting lessons each time I meet with him. He incorporates the Vietnamese culture, customs, history, politics, and current events into each one of my learning sessions. Teacher Vu has now expanded his teaching methods to include “lessons on the road” where teacher drives through different locations of VN and talks about them. During all of his lessons, he interacts with me, drawing out discussions of topics we mutually bring up between us. I have asked teacher Vu to customize many of my lessons focusing on understanding everyday VN conversations and improving my speaking skill of his native language. Over the past years, I have had several language teachers, but Teacher Vu has been my best & most consistent.

We toured the famous park in Da Lat. Vu makes his lessons very interactive, talking about what he encounters while walking around. Very dedicated, and helps with learning immensely

Couldn’t recommend Anh Vũ more for learning Vietnamese. His lessons are very memorable, unique, and enjoyable! He is especially helpful for heritage speakers (who grew up exposed to Viet but never took formal lessons and want to learn more), as his lessons are well customized to your level of fluency.

Vu always goes the extra mile. During the day, he recorded learning materials for me in the countryside. During the night, he toured around Can Tho on camera during the lesson to help remember vocabulary with boats and rivers better. You won't find a more dedicated teacher.
