Tama

Tama is a very encouraging and knowledgeable teacher. She creates a comfortable environment where I feel like I can experiment with Japanese and make mistakes without being judged. She implements different types of practice inside and outside of our lessons, most notably by having me write a journal in Japanese throughout the week that we look over together during our lessons. I believe that it's this variety of practice and engagement that makes the things that I learn with her stick better than my self-study alone. I would highly recommend anyone interested in learning Japanese to schedule a lesson with Tama!

I really enjoy working with Tama! She is a a very patient professor. She really listens both to what you are saying and what you hope to achieve. She's incredibly kind and supportive as a professional tutor. It can be nerve-wracking and sometimes embarrassing when you are trying to speak for the first time in a language you are learning. She's a joy to learn from and interact with and kindly corrects your pronunciation. Excellent teacher, cannot recommend her enough!

I cannot recommend Tama-san enough! She is very kind and really listens to her students when they express their needs and wishes on what and how to study. I appreciate every moment she gives in our lessons. I think she is an excellent teacher who will help guide you to success. She also has excellent handling of the English language and can often tell you more nuanced ways of saying things.
