👋Hi everyone! I’m Lanxi from the vibrant city of Chengdu, Sichuan.
🎓I completed my undergrad at California State University and earned my master’s from the University of Arizona.
💼 As a business school graduate, I have experience in starting up an educational company and working in the finance industry.

I’m a CTCSOL-certified Chinese teacher. CTCSOL stands for Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages, issued by Hanban, the Confucius Institute Headquarters. It certifies teachers of Chinese as a foreign language, ensuring they meet rigorous standards in language proficiency and teaching competence.
With three years of experience teaching Chinese one-on-one online, I’m here to help students of all levels achieve their language learning goals.내 강의 및 지도 스타일
🎯My lessons focus primarily on improving your SPEAKING skills, and we won’t spend too much time on learning Chinese characters.
📚I’ll focus on vocabulary that’s most relevant to everyday life, emphasizing colloquial terms.
✨For beginners, we’ll cover functional daily life topics. For intermediate and advanced students, we’ll discuss popular topics in China and interesting cultural differences.
💻During our classes, we'll be using either Zoom or Voov Meeting (Tencent Meeting) for our video sessions. I'll be sharing class notes and assignments with you through Google Docs. So, get ready for an interactive and collaborative learning experience!내 수업 자료

Lanxi is patient and lovely. We are going through HSK 4A at the moment, and she takes her time to explain grammar (which I struggle with) and also vocabulary, and also expands vocabulary into things that are related to events happening in my life to help me explain more, or things that may interest me such as horoscopes etc. I would highly recommend her ^_^

Lanxi is lovely and patient. I already have background in Chinese (background speaker) but wanted to improve it. We used HSK as a structure to follow and it has been great! We practice speaking a lot and using words to make sentences to help me form connections and also use the phrases properly. She covers grammar too and let's me speak first before correcting when needed. ^_^
