We can talk about anything you want, i am interested in many things so i can learn a lot from you! Don't hesitate to ask questions, non questions are stupid. My favorite quote is "Cogito ergo sum"from Descartes, it reminds you about that we don't know anything in life but life itself and that we should always be open to new information because we will keep learning until we breath our last breath. My next favorite quote connects to the last one and goes like this "the more you know the more you know you don't know" from Aristotle. Which basically means that you have to realize how much you don't know.

Self-Taught Polyglot Throughout the last five years I've taught Spanish, Dutch, German, French and English to over 250 students. Across the years I have been lucky enough to work with students from South & North America, Europe, Asia and Africa. Since I'm self taught, I know exactly what it is like to be a language student. I've actually been through it six times already!

Learning a language is hard work, but there's no rule that says you can't also enjoy it. :) I have worked as a teacher in high school for Dutch and in adult education for Dutch and German. Since secondary school, I have been tutoring students in Dutch, English and German. At the moment I also work as a tutor for criminal law, looking for a place to obtain a PhD. I can easily adapt to your (language) learning needs and style. I believe that you learn the most when you're enjoying what you're doing and having fun. My lessons are conversation based; I do not teach Dutch from scratch and I do not offer a structured A to Z course. I'd rather see myself as a coach on your language learning journey than as a teacher pur sang. After all, it's you who has to do the learning!

There is no point in rushing new grammar rules if the student(s) are lost. The student should never feel rushed. 2. I am sociable and friendly. This will make a lesson more and enjoyable for both the student and myself. I am also very interested in the student. I believe that a student learns better and quicker if the teacher shows genuine interest in the student. 3. I am creative. I have been a musician all my life. I believe there are many different and alternative ways of learning a language rather than just doing exercises from a textbook.

I like to keep a mixture of fun and professional, in other words that I like to keep things fun and in a positive light where a joke is definitely possible. However, when it comes down to it I am serious in my desire to teach other people some of my languages and cultures.

Traveling photographer & filmmaker that loves learning ánd teaching languages I'm quite relaxed and patient, but I will definitely challenge you enough to make sure your level goes up every class. I do think however, that it's okay to make plenty of mistakes since this is a big part of learning a new language and also from what you learn the most. So during our conversations or an exercise I will mainly let you go ahead and discuss some corrections later, instead of constantly interrupting you. The most important thing is that you get a lot of practice with the language, that speaking Dutch becomes comfortable for you and that you show progress instead of shutting down because you're striving for perfection :)

As a trained and experienced teacher, I find it important to focus on the student's needs. Connecting with my students is the first and most important step of the learning process. Language is essential to connect people from different countries and backrounds. It is the start of every conversation and for understanding one another. I enjoy learning about culture differences and similarities.
