They call me a Polyglot but I just call myself a multilingual. I have taught students from various countries, and I know that everyone learns languages differently. Thus, my linguistics knowledge and experience help me understand what students like you need and how you can learn better.

Do you want to learn Esperanto with a "linguistic" expert? I don’t have so much experience as an Esperanto teacher. I only gave lessons to some beginners when I was in an Esperanto club in my university. Though, I have taught other languages apart from Esperanto: I taught Spanish for a year in two public high schools in Japan, worked for three years as a Japanese tutor at university, and helped exchange students to practice Japanese. Also, I studied a lot about Japanese language education, so I have a plenty of linguistic knowledge and could apply to our lessons, different kinds of methods based on studies of SLA (Second Language Acquisition)

For 16 years, I teach occitan and esperanto, volunteer or as employee in a language training center. I runned for 6 years online training, I regularly teach courses of all kinds. I do not have a university education, I learned as we say "on the job" but I'm very interested in pedagogy, I like to read, to explore and train myself on the subject, I like to experiment with new techniques and I always try to improve myself.

Teaching (and language learning) is who I am. In university, many of my friends were international students. I took pride in my ability to adapt my English to the appropriate level as they progressed. I was learning German, and this really helped me see things from their perspective. Now I am well-known in the Esperanto community - a regular teacher-in-residence at NASK and other events. In 1988 I became a tutor in a Free Esperanto Course (which I now administer), and when I left my IT career in 2016, I started teaching once a week at the local ESOL Association, as well as tutoring on line and in person. Teaching different languages in these situations has given me a unique perspective.

Lingvemulo furioze indiferenta: more than 10 years of teaching and learning experience I am a teacher of Esperanto, teaching online since 2006. I have a KER-ekzameno certification as well as Russian Esperanto Union certificate for teaching Esperanto. I also teach offline in my home city St. Petersburg and sometimes for international public at Esperanto-events (kursoj por progresantoj). Russian is my native language. I am trained as a teacher of Russian as a foreign language, I have also studied Linguistics and Journalism at the St. Petersburg State University. I learn two Slavic languages — Polish and Bulgarian — and that gives me lots of insights on my own language and how I can explain it better to my students.

My goal is to make each student confident in their ability to learn languages. I let my students explore both traditional and untraditional methods and support them along their language learning journey with patience and enthusiasm. Moreover, I will provide you with my notes and suggestions on how to improve after each class! I have experience in teaching and tutoring language students of all ages and backgrounds. Every language level is welcome, from beginner to advanced.
