I have teaching experience for Japanese students online and face-to-face, individual students and groups up to 11 persons in private language schools. I believe that speaking practice should be prioritized as early as possible in learning process. Using new words while speaking is a great way for memorizing them. I know how scary it is to speak in a language that you have just started studying. Don’t worry about making mistakes, we will practice at your space! I always tailor my lessons according to my students’ needs and interests, either it’s for applying for a school or work, for daily or traveling usage, or other. Note: I do not have particular experience in teaching children.

I'm a language mentor. I endeavour to support my pupils' foreign language acquisition. Do you want to practice your passive language skills? Or are you a beginner looking for guidance? As someone who has tutored pupils from all walks of life, from absolute beginners to advanced learners, I may be of help at any stage. My manner of proceeding during the lesson is to construct an image about my pupil's situation and provide advice. Although I'm quite familiar with grammar and other theory, I try to teach everything through context to make it meaningful. In that way learning is engaging and fun, and it's easier to wrap one's head around things. I value that the pupil enjoys the learning process and gets to freely choose the conversation topics.

Having climbed the “mountain of fluency” in two foreign languages, I know exactly how hard and frustrating the journey can be, but I also know how rewarding and satisfying finally making it to the top is. To me, wrapping your head around a completely new way of thinking that often comes with achieving fluency in a language is one of the best feelings I know, and I want to share it with you. As someone with a strong background in science, my specialty is scientific communication and technical writing. I also think my experience in grappling with abstract scientific concepts has taught me to explain grammatical concepts and semantic nuances in a concise and easily understandable way.

I have two University degrees and I have been teaching finnish and swedish both for beginners and business people. I have also worked as a translator. The most challenging mission was in Monaco, where very talented multilingual people wanted to learn swedish and finnish and learn it fast, because they did business with Scandinavian countries.

El finlandés tiene fama de ser un idioma difícil, pero yo creo que el problema no es la dificultad sino que tiene una lógica diferente a la del español o el inglés. Por eso, al principio hay que sumergirse en la estructura del idioma (qué es super interesante! y que además explica un poco la forma de ver el mundo de los finlandeses). (Ahora) esto no quiere decir que vamos a dejar la práctica de lado. Vamos a utilizar el idioma desde la primera clase.
