My main goal is to help you feel comfortable speaking Italian. As a language learner myself, I know how challenging it can be to overcome the fear of making mistakes. I have a Bachelor’s degree in European Languages and Cultures, where I studied English, German, and the basics of Russian. Regarding my experience, I have taught my native language to both teens and adults. My Bachelor’s Degree is in Languages and Literatures (English and Russian), and my Master’s Degree is in Modern Philology. Last year, I also obtained CEDIL certification, which certifies my competence in teaching Italian as a foreign language or second language. I have studied languages since I was 13 years old, and now that I live in Australia, I use them daily at work and outside work to interact with locals and friends. I always loved studying languages, but I hated how language class made me feel: anxious, insecure, and afraid of being judged by teachers and classmates. In addition to these odd feelings, it seemed to me that, despite all the efforts, I never really improved in the learning process. But all these experiences made me understand how a student should feel in class: confident, relaxed, understood, listened to, and supported. You will find all of this in our lesson (+ with tons of laughter). In our classes, there will be no space for judgment: learning a language is hard, and the only way to truly master it is by making mistakes! Mistakes are an essential part of learning. My goal is to help you feel confident speaking with native speakers, fulfilling your needs, and building connections.

Salve a tutti. Mi chiamo Vittorio e sono un insegnante di lingua italiana per stranieri. Vivo in Italia, a Pescara, in Abruzzo, una regione dell'Italia centrale caratterizzata da una natura splendida e variegata e da città antiche e ricche di storia. Oltre alla passione per l'insegnamento, adoro giocare a scacchi, leggere romanzi gialli, eseguire giochi di prestigio e scrivere poesie. Sono un insegnante esperto a cui piace molto il rapporto con gli studenti, a prescindere dal loro livello. Il mio metodo d'insegnamento è quello comunicativo, quindi nelle mie lezioni prediligo la comunicazione orale, l'interazione attiva, le attività ludiche ma ritengo che sia importante sviluppare anche le altre abilità di base, vale a dire l'ascolto, la lettura e la scrittura. Solitamente, durante le mie lezioni, uso un testo di riferimento, ma faccio anche lezioni di conversazione, lezioni basate su articoli di giornale o su video e, in generale, cerco di soddisfare tutte le richieste dei miei studenti.
