"Language is the road map of a culture." As a language teacher, my primary goal is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident to explore and express themselves in Latvian. I believe that every student has unique strengths. I emphasize interactive learning through conversational practice, role-playing, and real-life scenarios to help my students use Latvian in practical situations. I encourage open communication and feedback, ensuring my students feel comfortable asking questions and expressing their thoughts. My approach is patient and encouraging, and I celebrate each student's progress. I am committed to providing each of you with a high-quality, personalized learning experience.

For the past 10+ years I have been working as a translator, reviser, interpreter and language teacher. I have a Bachelor and Master level professional degree in translation and interpretation. My teaching experience is about 5 years – in private, in groups up to 20 people and online. I have various experience, but personally prefer helping beginners and intermediate language users to improve their skills, especially speaking, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The main focus is on: - Conversational practice and role-play - Real in-life use of new words and phrases with understanding the context - Overall understanding, listening and reading skills - Proper grammar and writing skills

Drawing on my experience as an ESOL tutor, I know how to tailor lessons to meet each learner's unique needs. I value collaboration and encourage active participation, helping students develop confidence and fluency in their target language (adult learners only).
