I think 1-on-1 lessons are far more beneficial than other types of lessons. Other lessons may indeed be more fun but you will likely learn less, so, at the end of the day it's a waste of time and money. That's my professional opinion. After teaching for 7-8 years now, there were many demonstrable success stories with students regularly passing various language tests such as EIKEN in Japan or TRKI in Russia.
