Course description

***IMPORTANT - It is necessary to buy or download your own copy of the book and you will be asked to read a few chapters each week BEFORE the lesson*** From the author of ‘4000 Weeks’, Oliver Burkeman comes another fascinating journey through the human condition. Join us as we read this fascinating book written by one of the most engaging writers working today. How can we embrace our non-negotiable limitations? Or make good decisions when there’s always too much to do? What if purposeful productivity were often about letting things happen, not making them happen? These are all questions that we will address throughout the course. The course lasts for 6 weeks, one lesson per week. Each week you will read a bit of the book BEFORE the lesson. Then, in our lesson we will meet to discuss what we have read. The course is suitable for strong C1 level students. ***IMPORTANT - It is necessary to buy or download your own copy of the book and you will be asked to read a few chapters each week BEFORE the lesson*** Reading Schedule: You will need to read the following chapters before each class: Week 1: Introduction & Week 1 (Day 1 & 2) Week 2: Being Finite (Days 3 - 7) Week 3: Taking Action (Days 1 - 7) Week 4: **Reflections and discussions** Week 5: Letting Go (Days 1 - 7) Week 6: Showing Up (Days 1 - 7) ***There will be a ‘reading break’ on week 4 to give everyone the opportunity to catch up with the reading material. In this lesson we will discuss our reflections on the first half of the book.
