My lessons primarily focus on conversation, but I’m also open to covering specific grammar topics and adjusting the lessons accordingly.

Professional teacher / have lived & taught 3 years abroad / passionate & in love with teaching I endeavour not to bore my students and I regularly vary interaction patterns in my lessons in order to vary the pace. In my 2 years of teaching in two different countries, I have worked with students of all ages, from young children to seniors and racially and ethnically diverse students. I have worked as a teacher of English as a foreign language at the Cambridge Academy in Naples and as a teacher of Italian as a second language at the US Navy in Naples. At the moment I also teach English in Italy in public school classrooms.

I try to be as flexible as possible and adapt to my students' needs. I really believe that motivation is key to learning a language (or anything at all probably). That is why I try to focus on what really interests my students and 'build' on that, whatever it may be – a topic, an objective in the language, a desire to visit a place. That way learning will not feel as something one 'has to' do with all its difficulties but as something one can hopefully enjoy while in the process, while learning things that are relevant to them. So yes, as a joke I that I believe that as in any kind of relationship listening to others and asking them what they wish for is a very good skill in teaching too!

No improvised BLA-BLA-BLA as a lots of inexperienced teachers/ tutors do ! For good results, I used to split an hour in 20 min of chatting, 20 min of reading and interpreting and then 20 min of chatting based on in what we've just read and argued about. That's the right way to give constant increasing . I like to use many different resources in my lessons. In this way I support my students with the best in new tendencies regarding to learning a new language.
