I taught English grammar to junior high school students at a cram school for 7 years, and also at junior high school for 3 months. And then I worked as a shop assistant in general stores for 4 years. I passed the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test in 2021. I like teaching and it motivates me to get to know what you don't understand. I'll brush up myself and learn a lot from students.

I first got involved in teaching Japanese as a conversation tutor when I was at the university in San Francisco, USA.  Since then, I love working with people from different cultural backgrounds. This is also one of the reasons why I became a documentary photographer. I have visited over 90 countries to document different cultures and people. I am a very friendly and patient teacher. I’ve been a language teacher for more than 20 years and I love it! I taught students from one-year-old kids to adults in person. For online lessons, I usually teach students from eight-year-old to adults. There's nothing like seeing my students getting excited about learning Japanese in my class.
