Certified teacher who not only knows English but also knows how to teach Japanese to English speaker I am a professional Japanese teacher and have been teaching with italki since 2013. I can assist absolute beginner to highly advanced level students (including N5-N1 preparation), who are willing to manage aspects of their own learning. Thanks to many of my students, I have been become one of the most experienced Japanese teachers at italki. I use PPT and Word documents to explain grammar points, etc. in English. My native language is Japanese, but I am trained and qualified to teach in Australia and I feel more comfortable explaining Japanese in English. This approach can be especially helpful for English-speaking students. For advanced learners, I may use little to no English.

My mother-tongue is Korean. But I've learned English, Japanese and Chinese. So I truly understand how difficult learning languages is. I'm very positive, patient and enthusiastic. And I prepare each lesson only for A student. For example, if a student has a tendency to make mistakes using the present perfect, I usually prepare more focused lessons that he or she can repeatedly practice using the present perfect.
