Welcome to the More than English Podcast! I'm your host Stephen. I'm from the UK and I have been teaching English lessons online since 2016. The purpose of the More than English podcast is not to chat about frivolous topics but rather, to discuss existential ideas and concepts that can literally change the way you see the world, and act in it, in areas such as philosophy, culture, business, tech, politics, health psychology, history, all my favourite topics! But using English that is more accessible to English learners than regular native English podcasts. 「台風 たいふう」＝「typhoon」のように、母国語（ぼこくご mother tongue) と にている言葉は覚えやすいですね。じゃあ、そうでないものは、どうやって覚えるか。今回は、ほとんど「ダジャレ pun, play on words 」です。実は  1974年に「日本語の起源（きげん origin ）は英語だ！」という意見を、本気で発表した人がいます。ん～、ほんとに困ってしまうんですが、きっとこの人は、「ラッキーな言葉」をたくさん発見しちゃったんですね。それでは、日本人が英語を覚える苦労を、せひ、お聞きください。そして笑ってください。
