城市孩子上不了大学，对城市孩子影响不是那么大。但是农村孩子上不了大学，其实他就变成一辈子农民了。我觉得一个农民的孩子如果说能上上正规的大学的话，对他来说，扩大他的视野也好；扩大他对这个世界的理解以及人脉关系也好；以及他的自我认知也好，一定是有大大的好处。我相信进了大学整体来说命运总会变得更好。因为人们的想法是被观念改变的。那能够改变观念的人最好的地方就是大学。那他只要考上大学，哪怕是三本，是吧？那他大学四年给他的磨练；带来的眼光、感觉、格局肯定就不一样的。那个时候他再回到农村,他可能就变成农村的创业者，或者是变成农村中间最有想法的人。我觉得想法是改变世界的基础。

Being able to go to university or not has little effect on students from cities. But for students from rural areas, if they don't go to college, they will be lifelong farmers.
I think it would be good for a peasant's child to expand his horizons, understanding of the world， connections, and self-perception if he went to a proper university.
I think going to college will change your destiny. Because people's thoughts are changed by perspective. College is the best place to build a new perspective. As long as you can get into a university, even if it is just a third-class university. Four years of college life will change his new ideas and views. Then he goes back to the countryside, and he may start his own business, or he may become the most thoughtful person there. I think ideas are fundamental to changing the world.

Ma: I realized that all the things I taught are coming from books. Then I made a decision. I was going to spend ten years building a business and then go back to school to teach. I believe that I will be more popular with students, this is my initial idea. Second, I am trying to prove one thing, if Jack Ma can succeed, 80% of young people in China can succeed. 二十多年前，我还是个少年。打开家里刚买的彩电，看到了555港京拉力赛。我惊呆了，原来车还能这样开，我立志，长大以后也要成为一个拉力车手。一九九九年，世界拉力锦标赛在中国举行，我瞒着家人坐火车去北京看比赛。当拉力赛车在我身边呼啸而过，我知道，这将是我的一生热爱。我将为此，一直奋斗。

Over 20 years ago, I was still a teenager. I turned on the color TV my family bought and noticed the 555 Hong Kong-Beijing Rally. I was shocked to find out that you can drive a car like that. So I made up my mind to become a rally driver as well when I grow up. In 1999, The World Rally Championship was held in China. I took the train to Beijing to watch the championship without telling my family. When the rally cars whizzed past me, it became certain that this would be my passion, and I’d keep striving for it. Eventually, I did become a rally driver. I put on the helmet and fasten the seatbelt. Listening to the co-driver’s pace notes, I am like a newborn. Now I could finally compete with the best Chinese drivers that I have only seen on TV before. My co-driver and I were getting better and stronger as well.
Bayanbulak is 4,000 km above sea level and encompasses dangerous cliffs, forests, and snowy mountains. The highest honor of Chinese racing is to win the Bayanbulak championship. I won five times in a row. That year I was 32.

I remember I told him that no matter what career you choose in the future, never choose an industry that competes with robots. By the time you graduate, artificial intelligence will be in the ascendant. If you go compete with robots then. You can't beat them. The Industrial Revolution has solved the problem that some of the work of man is undertaken by the robots, which solves the physical problem of human beings. As for the information revolution, it will solve the problem of human intelligence. So we will see the fact that in 10 or 20 years, a lot of work will be done by robots. 我从现在年轻人的表达当中我没有看到个性，我看到的是共性。我很少很少看到一个年轻人，给我有个性的表达，让我一惊。我*，这话，他这么说？这么看？我几乎看不到。语言都趋同，表达方式趋同，词语趋同。我不觉得今天的孩子比我们那会儿孩子更有个性，真的一点没有。为什么？还是因为你们每个人有个手机，有一个网络。网络和整个的媒体在教你们怎么说话。然后你们统一性越来越强。

I can't see the personality in the expressions of young people now, what I see is the commonality. I seldom see a young man who gives me a speech of personality that surprises me. I don't think the young people now have stronger personality than our times, really not at all. Why? That’s because each of you has a cell phone, the Internet and the entire media is teaching you how to speak. Then you guys become more and more unifie.
