「教師（きょうし）」（＝先生）が「走る（はしる）」と書いて「師走（しわす）」と読みます。昔、12月をこう呼びましたが、今でも使われています。いつもは落ち着いている先生が走るくらい、忙（いそが）しい月だという意味です。今も昔も忙しいのは変わりません。なぜなら、12月は日本全国、そうじの季節だからです。本当にそうじしなければ、だめなんですって！日本人とそうじの、深（ふか）～い関係（かんけい）をご紹介（しょうかい）します。
