滥竽充数 làn yú chōng shù：sham/an ancient Chinese reed instrument like a pipe/pass off/number 
to pass oneself off as one of the players in an ensemble.the saying means to be there just to make up the number.
吹：chuī，to blow/play  
竽：an ancient wind instrument
待遇： dài yù  treatment,pay,salary
独奏 dú zòu：solo

日本に来てから和菓子を食べるのをやめられません。毎日お昼ご飯の後に必ず食べています。和菓子はケーキにくらべてヘルシーと思うかもしれませんが、そんなことはありません。確かに脂肪は洋菓子に比べてかなり少ないですが、砂糖はたくさん使われています。特に5月からは私の好きなわらび餅や水羊羹（みずようかん）などの冷たい和菓子がたくさん出てくるので、誘惑がいっぱいです。
もし、日本に来て、和菓子を食べるなら、和菓子屋さんで買うことをオススメします。和菓子はコンビニでも買うことができますが、すごく甘かったり、生クリームが入っているものが多いです。生クリームを使った和菓子もたまにはいいですが、私はあっさりした和菓子の方が好きです。
ちなみに日本のケーキもすごくおいしいです。日本にはパティシエがたくさんいるので質が高く、外国のケーキに比べて、あっさりしています。

Warabi mochi is a traditional Japanese dessert made from bracken starch, soybean flour and topped off with syrup

水羊羹：みずようかん
Mizu-yokan is Japanese confectionery, and is a type of yokan.
