what is the difference between 不 and 没有？


不 (bù) and 没有 (méi yǒu) are both negation words in Chinese, but they are used in slightly different ways.

不 (bù) is an adverb that negates the verb or adjective that follows it. It is used to express "not" or "no."

For example:

我不喜欢吃苹果 (wǒ bù xǐ huān chī píng guǒ) - I don't like eating apples

他不是医生 (tā bù shì yī shēng) - He is not a doctor

没有 (méi yǒu) is used to negate the verb in the past tense or to express "not have." It is often used in combination with a verb in the past tense to indicate that something did not happen.

For example:

我没有吃早饭 (wǒ méi yǒu chī zǎo fàn) - I didn't eat breakfast

他没有去过北京 (tā méi yǒu qù guo běi jīng) - He has not been to Beijing

  Lily:  什么？坟地？嗯...你...怎么...能这样对待你的女朋友啊？

 Tom:  嗯...我希望她的皮肤越来越好，买个好坟地有什么问题吗？

   Lily:  哦... 这样啊，那个叫粉底，不叫坟地。粉底是化妆品，坟地嘛。嗯...坟地...坟地是埋死人的地方。


Tom: Hi,Lily, mǎshàng guòjiéle, wǒ xiǎng gěi wǒ nǚ péngyǒu mǎi gè lǐwù.

  Lily: Wa o, nǐ yě tài tiēxīnle, nà... Nǐ dǎsuàn gěi tā mǎi shénme lǐwù ya?

Tom: en... Wǒ dǎsuàn gěi tā mǎi gè hǎo yòng de féndì.

  Lily:  Shénme? Féndì? Ń... Nǐ... Zěnme... Néng zhèyàng duìdài nǐ de nǚ péngyǒu a?

Tom:  en... Wǒ xīwàng tā de pífū yuè lái yuè hǎo, mǎi gè hǎo féndì yǒu shén me wèntí ma?

  Lily:  o... Zhèyàng a, nàgè jiào fěndǐ, bù jiào féndì. Fěndǐ shì huàzhuāngpǐn, féndì ma. e... Féndì... Féndì shì mái sǐrén de dìfāng.


Tom: Hi Lily, the holidays are coming soon and I want to buy a present for my girlfriend.

   Lily: Wow, you're so sweet, so... what gift are you going to buy her?

 Tom: Hmm... I'm going to buy her a useful cemetery.

   Lily: What? Graveyard? Um... how... how... can you treat your girlfriend like this?

 Tom: Hmm...I hope her skin gets better and better, is there any problem with buying a good cemetery?

   Lily: Oh... Well, that's called a foundation, not a graveyard. Foundation is cosmetic, cemetery. Well... cemetery... cemetery is where the dead are buried.

こんにちは。今日は7月7日日曜日です。「5分でわかる日本語」ポッドキャストへようこそ。私は日本語の先生、みわです。今日は、七夕（たなばた）についてお話しします。

みなさん、七夕を知っていますか？七夕は毎年7月7日にお祝いする、日本の楽しいお祭りです。今日は、七夕のお話と、お祝いの方法を教えます。

昔々、織姫（おりひめ）という女の子と、彦星（ひこぼし）という男の子がいました。二人は空にある天の川という川のこちらとあちらに住んでいました。織姫は布を作る仕事をしていて、彦星は牛を育てる仕事をしていました。二人はとても仲が良く、一緒に過ごす時間が増えました。でも、遊んでばかりいるので、空の神が怒って、二人を別れさせました。それから、二人は一年に一度、7月7日にだけ会うことができるようになりました。

このお話は、昔、中国から伝わってきました。それが日本に伝わり、七夕としてお祝いされるようになりました。七夕の時期になると、街や家で竹を使った飾りが見られます。竹に色々な色の短冊（たんざく）をかけて、その短冊に願い事を書きます。短冊は、長くて細い形をした紙です。短冊には、「健康でいられますように」とか「JLPT合格！」とか「家族がずっと幸せでありますように」など、いろいろな願い事を書きます。

飾りは、短冊だけではありません。例えば、紙で作った星などがあります。これらの飾りも一緒に竹にかけて、きれいにします。竹は、強くてまっすぐな木です。短冊の色に特に決まりはありません。青、赤、黄、白、緑など、好きな色を使います。

七夕の夜には、夜の空を見上げて、織姫と彦星が天の川で会えるかどうかを想像します。七夕の夜は、とても素敵な時間です。

また、日本のいろいろな場所では、七夕祭りが開かれます。例えば、仙台の七夕祭りはとても有名で、たくさんの観光客が訪れます。みなさんも、もし機会があれば、七夕祭りに参加してみてください。

ここで、みなさんに問題です。七夕の日に短冊に書くのは何ですか？
