Investing is a VERB in present continuous. Infinitive form is - to invest Investment is a NOUN. For example: I’m investing a lot of time and money in my education My investment in education has opened many doors for my career

Do they have different meanings? Business investment is up. (‘Investing’ wouldn’t sound wrong, but less professional) Investing in NFTs was all the rage. (Lots of people were making these investments) My investments in NFTs are worthless now.
