It’s rainy today. My dad and I spent the most of the day snuggled up around the space heater, learning about Abraham Lincoln. After that, Great Grandma dropped by for a quick visit. She brought a very peculiar wooden stick and danced in a ritual manner with it around the house, chanting some spells or something. I didn’t know she was able to practise witchcraft. Mom laughed and thought it was hilarious. Dad said it was a traditional exorcism; he had seen her doing it before. Great Grandma claimed it was good for our health and chased away evil spirits. Given the recent events, she thought it necessary. I hope she’s right.
