Hi Italkiers, I came across the phrase"guts and juice" from Jack Kerouac's book "On the road". Having searched it via google, I find nothing relevant about this phrase. However, given the context, I assume it is another way of saying "I'm full", is it correct? Many thanks!

I think it probably means 'full of energy and enthusiasm'... I'm thinking "juice" equates to to a fuel/ energy/ motivation I've never heard of this as an expression, but I think Kerouac is very adept at creating his own expressions/ idioms/ metaphors/ and imagery - the kind of language you probably wouldn't hear elsewhere, so you just have to to 'feel' the meaning.
