Ciao tutti. I have been looking around on the Internet for board games, trivia, and word guessing games in Italian. I haven't been very successful and was curious if anyone had any suggestions to narrow my search or names of popular games in Italy. Thus far, I have been searching "giochi da tavolo" and "indovina la parola," but I haven't gotten the results I'm looking for.
I was looking for something comparable to Trivial Pursuit, Cranium, Catch Phrase, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Clue, Scattergories, Pictionary, Guess Who?, Operation, and Say Anything.
Has anyone used a game to improve their Italian? If so, what game?
I was also thinking that it might be fun to get a group together through italki and play a game over Skype. Let me know if anyone is interested.
Hi! We have the italian version of Scrabble (Scarabeo), Clue (Cluedo), Guess who? (Indovina chi?), Pictionary and Trivial Pursuit (they're called the same in Italy too). I remember about a game called Paroliere which was basically the same as Ruzzle. If you want to play online, there's a similar game on Facebook, called AlphaBetty Saga (to play the game in Italian, maybe you have to change the language on Facebook). Ah, and I used to play this game a lot when I was a child > http://www.nomicosecitta.net/gioca/
Hi Michael,
in order to practice Italian, you can also try with the Italian version of the "gioco da tavolo" Taboo - Wikipedia italiano: https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taboo_(gioco_di_societ%C3%A0) - English Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taboo_(game)
I hope this was helpful ^_^
Ciao,
Corrado
