If the student is paying for 45 minutes, you might as well wait the full 45 minutes. It's not as if you can teach another class in the meantime. You can probably study your target language, plan another lesson, or something while waiting.

Hello, I think if they have not contacted you before the lesson to let you know they will be late or they cannot attend and you messaged them at the start of the lesson but got no reply, fifteen minutes is a good amount of time to wait. I would also message them after the first message letting them know that's how long you will wait before you consider that lesson a student No-Show. Whether or not you choose to report it as a "Student did not attend" is up to you, but I would also let the student know that's what you will do if you choose to report them. Hope that helps.

From a students point of view, where this has happened twice, due to bad internet connections. I think you should wait for the allowed time for a student to report a lesson problem. Then report a problem if they have not done so by the end of the deadline. I think you will get paid in this case. I have lost a good teacher for 30 days, because I made a mistake in reporting a problem. When the teacher did let me know they could not make the lesson. Italki will apparently just disable a profile with no warning to the other party. Which is most alarming for the other party.

Ok, I have been waiting over half an hour, so I will just wait for 45min now and send message to the student to let know how long I have waited. I did not know there is report option..ummm I think the student just made account and I am new here, I will not report.

I really hope that I get to hear from the student.

I have 2 questions.

After the lesson, I need to click that lesson is completed but in this case what should I do?

I do not want to report that student, so what should I do?

When student does not show up, I can not get paid for that time?

I guess I have lots more to learn here.
