why is english so hard to learn? And also to pronounce

It is a complete myth that English is easy. From my point of view it is among the more difficult languages in Europe. And when talking about easy or difficult, I mean how much time and effort you have to invest until you reach an equivalent level.

English has a logical side, which is its system of tenses. This is just great. The rest could be called a mess. With few exceptions, basically any spelling could correspond to any pronunciation. You just have to learn everything by heart! This can be particularly frustrating to intelligent people who already learnt other languages where they experienced that being intelligent and logical can be a real advantage when it comes to language learning. Not very much so in English.

English also has an enormous variety of sounds. This makes it very hard for people coming from phonetically less rich backgrounds. E.g. when Japanese has about 100 different possible syllables, English has 1000. For Japanese people, English is as difficult as Japanese is for English speakers.

Seriously? I always think that English is the easiest language. English pronunciation is also easy. But I think that everything depends on your native language. For example if your native language has more sound combinations than language you learn, It will be easy to say any word clearly. Grammar has the same situation I think

That's how I felt about trying to learn French.

But you have given yourself intermediate level, so you must be good at it already. : )

Maybe it's because we are too hard on ourselves?

I think we just need to stop checking whether the seed has sprouted or not,

instead, keep on reading, talking, listening, learning, correcting, and you will improve without

you knowing it. The study has no end to it. Watch nice movies with subtitles both in your language and English.

If you need any help with your pronunciation, I might be able to help you.

https://discord.gg/W8qY2r Practice makes perfect, but with non native languages, it needs years of

practice and the more mistakes you make and receive corrections, the easier and the sooner you learn and make them permanent knowledge.

Moreover, we all learned our mother tongue without being able to read a letter, understand any grammar, and still a 4 year old can speak much better than foreigners. That means that you need a lot of listening and repeating of what you hear.

Read out loud whatever you read or write, and in higher speed, especially things written by or in native English, but without expecting that you memorize them immediately.

I'm still surprised why you are not commenting, writing entries or asking question here while there are so many kind people offering corrections and help with explanations.

You learn so much through interacting, it gives you energy and strength to keep on practicing, and if you help others you also learn. So start helping and receiving help here I would say.

Vanessa Contreras, que tengas éxito en su viaje para aprender inglés. En realidad, casi la mitad del vocabulario principal de inglés es derivada de Latin, como español, y los dos idiomas tienen muchos cognados. Trata usar esta hecho para ayudarte. Desafortunadamente, la pronunciaciones frecuentemente son diferente.
