What is the most difficult thing for you about learning English?

The title is pretty much self explanatory, but I would really like to know what is/has been the most difficult thing for you about the English language. I know for some, the hardest thing may be the particles 'a, an, the', etc. please share your stories.

There are not only too many different words/slangs/expressions, but also differenct accents depending on different areas/countries.

Hi, For me the hardest part of learning English has been having to memorize most of the structures and verbs and at some point becomes tedious. Also, there are no specific rules for the words. Instead, in my native language is Spanish, where everything is based on sound in the pronunciations of the words are easy.

For me the most difficult things in learning english is to think in English. When I start to speak English it's hard to me to imagine what I'm just about to say in English, not in Russian. For example 'generous spirit' has different meaning in Russia and in English and there are a lot of such words.
