Description of my nephew Alejandro
Alejandro is the first of the three nephews that I have. He was born five years ago, on the same day that the season changes from Summer to Autumn, and I still can remember that day as if it were yesterday. It was midnight in Córdoba, and there was a beautiful, enormous, white moon shining in the sky. My mother and I were allowed to go into the room where he was in the hospital, in spite of it being very late at night. I will never forget how tightly my mother held him on her arms, it was as if she felt that it would be her only opportunity to do so.
Physically, Alejandro is shorter and thinner than most other five-year-old children. His round face is framed by a mass of wavy black hair, that matches his sparkling black eyes. His flat nose and big smile are lovely. He is really tanned, regardless of the season, so dark-colored clothes suit him really well, just as well as bright colors. He loves wearing t-shirts with animals, like dinosaurs, sharks or dolphins as well as cartoons.
As for his personality, despite his young age, his two most striking characteristics are how fearful and the outgoing he is. On the one hand, A clear example of his fear happened recently, this past weekend. Every year, my cousins organize a Halloween party for the family and children where everyone has to go dressed up properly for the event. In fact, the more frightening is your costume is, the more you are applauded. What did my nephew answer when his parents asked him to going to the party? You can imagine, can`t you? Of course, he answered totally convinced, “I don`t like Halloween, neither monsters nor vampires.” On the other hand, He's also a really outgoing child. He has wonderful language skills and often talks far more than other children. For example, I am really surprised when I go for a walk with him, he stops to talk to strangers and asks their names, if they have children, a pet or anything else he cares to ask.
Like most children his age, he loves playing with other children, especially in jumping tents. He also loves animals, so he loves to visit the zoo, the aquarium, or anywhere else there are animals.
Finally, I would say that although I have three nephews, and of course I love the three the same, I believe that there is a special feeling for the first born, especially maybe, if you don’t have children. I love spending my time with them. In fact, the more time I spend with them, the more I need them. Now, I am waiting for a niece!
