The second day of final exams!

Today is my second day of final exams, today's exam is about entrepreneurship (it's my elective subject). I was well prepared for this exam and I read the textbook that was given by our lecturer; I spent a lot of my time preparing for this exam as I'm really not that good in this kind of subject, so if I want a good result for this semester I need to study hard. My exam began at 12.30 pm. I went to campus 30 minutes before the exam started. I went to campus really early because I wanted to print out the assignment that I had to send to my lecturer after the exam finished. After that I went directly to the examination room, do you know what happened? The exam staff was already there. My friend and I were the first who came to the examination room and you know what the staff said to us? "Your exam is a take-home exam". I just stopped everything I was doing said "Alhamdulillah".

I really spent time too much time studying for this subject since it ended up being a take-home exam. My lecturer never told us that the final exam will be a take-home exam. Do you know what happened the last mid-exam? There were many students who said that the mid-exam would be a take-home exam and I didn't prepare or even read or review anything about the subject, but when mid-exam came, the exam wasn't a take-home exam. The moral of the story is that you have to prepare for everything, even small things. You shouldn't feel like what was you did was a waste of your time...

Finally, I don't know how many people will understand my writing or my story... but thanks to those who are reading this story.

Very interesting entry, Fazh! I wonder why did you choose Entrepreneurship? :) I'm an entrepreneur and also teach English here on iTalki as a hobby. I'd love to hear from you! Cheers.

Nice job Fazh! The moral of your story is very applicable to lots of things, especially something such as learning a language. More often than not, people feel as if many of the exercises and elements of learning a language such as repeating words and phrases and practicing pronunciation are "annoying" or too "repetitive' and that they are "are waste of their time". Yet just as you said, at the end of the day, it's not a waste of your time, and these times where you have to prepare and study hard have positive results! - Michael :)
