I've encountered a fraud in an app called Hellotalk a week ago. She told me she is a fourty years old American lady and send me many pictures about her and her family, so I believed her. Then I chatted with her for a while, she told me she wanted to sent me a gift. I tought all American were enthusiastic like her and I'm shy refused. I also planed to send a gift to her. But when she told me to add a alipay account called US postal service, I perceived something was wrong, why it used alipay rather than paypal, and it needed me to give it 400RMB. Then I realized she is a fraud, I hadn'd transferred money and blacklisted her, or maybe him. Although I haven't lost my money, I am still sad that my feelings have been deceived. I was so happy for having a foreign friend, but finally I found she is a fraud.😱 Be careful when you chat with a stranger! In the end, I want to teach you an idiom 'ć€©äžŠäžäŒšæŽ‰éŠ…é„Œ', which means there is no free lunch in the world.

I have found real friends on Lingbe, HelloTalk and italki. I always have video chats. A Saudi will do audio chats but may not show their face. Always insist on real contact. I found scammers too but most people are good. Insisting on real-time conversation will help you a lot. Not everyone is a scammer. You can find good people.

Here is my advice. If you want to make friends online, start by using and exchanging your real name with real pictures of yours with them and do a video call to introduce each other. This is a sincere and direct way to connect with real people.
