We don't really use the word "bane" very often in everyday conversation except in expressions modelled on the cliche "the bane of my life". "Boon" could also be a bit old-fashioned or formal. The words "boon" and "bane" are more extreme than "pros" and "cons". The words "pros" and "cons" are most often used together (at the same time or at least close to each other) and in the plural; in the singular form they could be confused with other words/meanings though they can work in the singular in the right context. A "boon" might be an unexpected piece of significant good fortune and a "baneful" thing is harmful, whereas "pros and cons" are simply advantages and disadvantages.

They are pretty similar Amal. Pros and cons are the favorable and the unfavorable factors or reasons. Boons and banes tend to have tend to be stronger and less general, and are similar to blessings or curses. A bane would be something that kills or severely harms you. While a con would simply be unfavorable or disadvantageous. A boon would be something you're thankful for, while a pro is something that benefits you. For many people, Covid 19 and the restrictions that came along with them would have been a bane. While not being able to not being able to travel was a con. Have an elderly family member survive Covid 19 could be considered a boon. While being able to work from home during lockdown might have been a pro. I hope it makes sense. :)
